Maintaining the Old Truss Ends

It appears that where the soffits were not ventilated, which happens in pockets, the timbers have rotted. So there is going to have to be some maintenance of those.

Also it would appear that in the 1970s, you didn’t have to put diagonal braces between the trusses, …. only simple horizontal/parallelogram braces. Not stable obviously, so we are going to put some diagonals in.

The Final Chosen Roof Tile was…

Redland, …. and they call their grey “Charcoal”….. It’s the third tile from the back with two holes.  Second from the back is the Marley Smooth Grey – indistinguishable from each other really – except the Marley was out of stock for 6 weeks.   They are so similar that they even interlock perfectly.
