We have got to be very pleased with our new kitchen. There are three ways in – a wide door from the Hall, double doors from the dining Room, and a door from the sewing room in the west wing. There are large triple bifold doors out onto the north patio.
You can just see at the garden end that the idea is to have a little breakfast area and a couple of lounging chairs. The new table and chairs for that spot are coming from Italy – so guess that will arrive much later in 2020 after the virus restrictions have eased. For the lounging chairs we have temporarily a garden chair and an IKEA chair, but eventually the idea is to go for Ecornes Stressless chairs.
A lot of people ask about the main cabinet colour – it is called Hague Blue. The upper cupboards are in Dove Grey. The steam ovens and induction hob are from Neff. Just realised you cannot see the island warming drawer in any of these photos! The storage is split roughly half and half between drawers and cupboards.

This shot taken from the back garden end, with me standing at the bifold doors

There is an overhang for bar stools at one end of the island, so the power sockets have been turned through 90 degrees to ease access.

Handbag storage !

Larder !!

Neff induction hob with downdraught extraction!

Neff steam ovens – web controlled but we haven’t got as far as figuring that out.

Miele fridge with some kind of clever fruit and veg storage at the bottom.

This smart kitchen tap is called a Quooker. It does normal hot and cold water, plus you can have instant boiling water (no need for a kettle any more!) or filtered cold water.

Sorry about the mess in the sink !!
