Tour – Bedroom 1

This room has less changes than most.

The dreadful old 1970s sliding door wardrobes have been replaced with something matching the house overall.  All the ceilings of the property were removed and replaced (asbestos) so the room has a much nicer feel now – and lovely new snug triple glazed windows.

Rdaiators were replaced everywhere upstairs by very contemporary looking radiators called “Plane Concord”.  The slats run horizontally – and they have fins on the back making them very efficient. Bedroom one is the largest, so needs the largest radiator.

The en-siute remains unchanged, except for the ceiling, lights and fan have been replaced.    The towel rail type radiators now work on the new heating system and can be electrically warmed in summer.

With the new heating system, each room has its own thermostat, and if you wish, it’s own daily programme.  The whole thing is controlled by the iPhone or iPad. These so called web platforms are the coming trend – there are four switched on now :

  • Underfloor heating, radiators, hot water and hot water “loop” (like you get in hotels for instant hot water when you turn the tap on)
  • Alarm system
  • Velux roof windows
  • Electric doorbell and motion sensor cameras at the front and driveway

We are yet to commission the web platforms for the ovens, warming drawer and tumble dryer!

New furniture awaited !!

Unfurnished as yet – furniture on order from Italy – no idea when or even if it will show up because of the crisis.

Tour – Bedroom 2… quite a lot has changed

Quite a lot has changed in bedroom 2.  A dressing room has been added (along with the house’s new airing cupboard) as well as another lovely bathroom.

The view out over the garden has been radically changed too.

The new dressing room – on the left is the new airing cupboard, then a double wardrobe alongside.
